Global Climate Action NAZCA

Taking place between 30^th November and 12^th December 2023 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the 28^th Conference of the Parties (COP28) brings together world leaders, negotiators, observer organizations and stakeholders from around the world to discuss and agree on ways to address the climate crisis.

COP provides an important opportunity to announce commitments and launch initiatives that can have a significant impact on the trajectory of global greenhouse gas emissions and environmental sustainability, if followed up and fully implemented.

The Global Climate Action Portal (GCAP) is tracking COP28 climate action announcements – including those associated with the programmes of the COP28 Presidency, the High-Level Champions and the Marrakech Partnership. You can also notify us of your COP28 announcements using this Form.

As well as providing a publicly accessible repository of climate action announcements made during the conference, GCAP also provides a basis to track their progress, including through their integration with the Portal’s actor tracking and initiative tracking components.

The information, which is updated throughout the conference, can be navigated using a search function and filters: the Thematic filter is based on the COP28 Thematic programme, whilst the Focus filter provides a way of identifying announcements by their climate focus area: adaptation and resilience, mitigation and means of implementation.
