About the conference

Governments gathered in Madrid for the UN Climate Change Conference COP25 (2 to 13 December 2019) to take the next crucial steps in the UN climate change process.

The conference took place under the Presidency of the Government of Chile and is hosted with logistical support from the Government of Spain.

A key objective of COP25 was to raise overall ambition by completing several key aspects with respect to the full operationalization of the Paris Climate Change Agreement.

Here you can browse announcements that were made during the conference, as well as view members of Chile’s expanded Climate Ambition Alliance.

It is also important to mention that COP25 was informed by the outcomes of the Climate Summit in New York in September 2019.
