About the conference

Taking place between 9th and 20th November 2026 in Antalya, Türkiye, the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) brings together world leaders, negotiators, observer organizations and stakeholders from around the world to discuss and agree on ways to address the climate crisis.

COP31 Priorities for the Action Agenda

The COP31 Presidency’s priorities for the Action Agenda center on accelerating the implementation of global climate action and translating decisions into tangible and measurable outcomes.

The COP31 Action Agenda is structured around ten priority themes that respond to today’s most pressing climate and geopolitical challenges. These themes are anchored in the six axes of the Global Climate Action Agenda (GCAA) and the Marrakesh Partnership, providing a coherent structure for the COP31 programme and ensuring continuity and alignment with the outcomes of the first Global Stocktake.

The Presidency seeks to support joint initiatives under the ten priority themes by providing resources, visibility, and political weight, while making the work of partners and GCAA Activation Groups visible and strengthening the momentum for implementation.

The Presidency will also actively encourage the meaningful participation of all stakeholders including governments, academia, civil society, private sector and youth throughout the process.

Explore the ten priority themes and their associated targets, pledges and initiatives in the COP31 Priorities for the Action Agenda section below.

Announcements tracking

COP provides an important opportunity to announce significant milestones, including new initiatives and commitments that can have a significant impact on the trajectory of global greenhouse gas emissions and environmental sustainability, if followed up and fully implemented.

For this reason, every year NAZCA tracks climate action announcements made throughout the conference and brings it together as an accessible repository for our stakeholders. These non-negotiate announcements include those associated with the programmes of the COP31 Presidency, the High-Level Champions and the Marrakech Partnership.

Announcements can be explored in section below.
